Dr. Couch was recently featured in the Health Front TV show on Channel five discussing new technologies for laser surgery. He discussed the new disposable keratome head and the upcoming wave front technology.

Wavefront technology coming soon.

We will soon have the Wavescan Technology from VISX to complement our existing diagnostic equipment in evaluating and treating our vision correction patients. This exciting technology may not be for everyone, but will allow us to treat some patients whose visual aberrations are currently not treatable with today's technologies.

Starting in September, the Vision Correction Centers will introduce our new advertising campaign with our wonderful cows.

Depending on the season, one will see variations of our mascot, so keep your eyes open....

ASCRS meeting in San Diego...

During the symposium on cataract and refractive surgery in May 2001, which was held in San Diego, the doctors at the Vision Correction Center were active.

Dr. Couch served as a Panelist on two refractive sessions overseeing and judging the papers presented. The first session covered LASIK Complications while the second session covered the treatment of Presbyopia.

After the opening General Session, Dr. Couch gave a paper on LASIK entitled:

Two scientific posters were presented highlighting the outcome data of the Vision Correction Centers. These scientific exhibits were on display throughout the entire meeting. Over 4600 ophthalmologists attended the meeting with a total attendance of almost 8000.
